Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically acclaimed performances of charming and innocent characters. Adams was one of seven children who lived when she was a kid in Castle Rock, Colorado. Amy Adams was born in the same year that her father was working for the U.S. Military in Italy. Around the middle of 1990, she began dancing and performing professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to the regional theater in Minnesota and was offered a role as a character in a film mock documentary concerning beauty pageant contests Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). After making her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant, she moved in Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She also raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer, and signed a contract to work for MGM during the 1940s. Through the years that followed her appearances in numerous popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up by Martin Lewis and Martin Lewis (a 1953 film).
